Morning Executive Producer:

ABC57 News in South Bend, Indiana is seeking an Executive Producer to lead our morning show team to success. 

 

About the Role

· Manage the newsroom, lead the editorial process, and make quick, informed decisions during breaking news situations

· Dedicate time to capturing breaking news and weather coverage across all platforms

· Mentor producers with a focus on growth and ratings success 

· Inspire creativity, foster a collaborative environment, and support team development

· Lead story selection and oversee reporter assignments

 

What You’ll Do

· Delegate daily assignments and breaking news responsibilities

· Create efficient workflows and maintain a strong sense of urgency

· Oversee broadcast quality control, including spell checking, factual accuracy, and fostering creativity

· Communicate effectively across all departments

· Coordinate closely with other news managers to ensure cohesive coverage

· Perform other duties, as assigned

 

What You’ll Need

· Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, TV/Film or a related field

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Television or Radio Broadcast/Production 

· Line producing experienced (required)

· Experience with Avid iNews or other rundown software 

· Strong news judgement, leadership abilities, and organizational skills

· Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 platforms (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive,etc.) 

· On-site work only (required); must be available to work any shift
