Web Producer
 
The Detroit News is seeking a digital producer to produce, post and curate stories from our award-winning staff of reporters, as well as wire services, to continue our run as the top digital news site in Michigan. The producer must be highly in tune with local news, business, features and sports, be fluent in monitoring and contributing to social media and have a high comfort level with monitoring and responding to analytics trends. The producer’s primary role is to display the work of our staff in a way that best attracts readers.
The successful applicant must be available to work nights and weekends. This job is full-time and includes benefits. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of previous work in journalism. Recent college graduates will be considered.  
In addition to the daily newspaper, The News has a desktop site, mobile site and native app with one of the most dedicated and loyal audiences in all of Michigan.
