Objective
I am an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Spanish business certificate.Originally from San Antonio, Texas (the countdown city - go Spurs go), I am extremely grateful to be a part of the UT community that supports and uplifts its students. Throughout my college experience, I have held multiple internships in the fields of broadcast journalism and editorial lifestyle writing. While exploring the field of Journalism I have gained experience in social media, video, podcasts, and broadcast journalism. My exposure to the news and media industry as well as educational coursework has given me proficient writing skills and adaptability in all types of work environments.
I am always interested in expanding my horizons and exploring new avenues in the field of communications. I have created podcasts, short and long-form documentaries, podcasts, timely news stories and digital products. Currently, I am interested in investigative journalism and TV, two spheres where my creativity, writing skills and extensive knowledge of engaging an audience will benefit me.
As a Mexican-American, my Spanish business certificate has connected me to my culture as well as helped me learn the language. I am a curious person, always eager to learn about new cultures and explore the world and people around me. I hope to continue doing so beyond college and my degree plan.
