Objective
I have 15 years professional experience in the news business as an anchor, reporter, multiskilled jouralist, producer, and assignment editor. My next goal is to be a national network reporter. I would love to specialize in politics and end up in Washington, D.C., but I will go wherever my career takes me.I am currently a multiskilled journalist at the NBC affiliate in Atlanta and turn stories on a daily basis. My passion is being a voice for the voiceless, bringing enterprise stories to my station, and holding the powerful accountable.
Both of my parents come from a mixed background, so bringing diversity and minority issues into the forefront is another passion. I'm currently working on a story on missing and murdered Native American women to air during July sweeps. The continuing coverage I did on Ahmaud Arbery was nominated for an Emmy Award this year.
