About NAHP
The National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc. (NAHP) furthers the excellence, recognition, and use of Hispanic Publications and provides them access to professional development opportunities to better serve and empower Hispanic communities.
NAHP is a non-partisan trade advocacy organization representing the leading Spanish-language publications serving 41 markets in 39 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, with a combined circulation of over 23 million.
NAHP was founded in 1982 to promote Spanish-language publications, the most effective medium to reach the fast-growing Hispanic community. Membership is open to Spanish-language and Hispanic-owned newspapers, magazines and related media as well as businesses that offer products and services to this market throughout the United States.
Geographically, NAHP members span the country, with a concentration in areas of large Hispanic populations. NAHP members produce over 15 billion pages of information annually.
The Opportunity
NAHP stands at a defining moment in its history.
After more than four decades as a respected volunteer-led association, NAHP is embarking on an ambitious transformation to become a professionally staffed, nationally influential nonprofit organization. The Executive Director will be the organization’s first chief executive, charged with turning that vision into reality.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead NAHP through this next chapter by building the organization’s operational foundation, driving strategic growth, expanding revenue, strengthening member engagement, and elevating NAHP’s national voice and impact.
This is a rare opportunity for a visionary, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in building organizations from the ground up. The Executive Director will help define not only how NAHP operates, but also how it serves Hispanic publishers and strengthens the future of Hispanic media for decades to come.
The Executive Director will hire and lead NAHP’s inaugural professional staff, serving as the primary liaison between the Board and the growing organization while fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
Beyond day-to-day leadership, the Executive Director will build the systems, partnerships, and long-term strategy that position NAHP as the premier national organization supporting Hispanic media and the communities it serves.
Hispanic media plays a vital role in informing, connecting, and advocating for communities across the country. As trusted local news organizations navigate rapid changes in technology, business models, and audience behavior, NAHP has an unprecedented opportunity to become the national convener, advocate, and capacity-building organization for Hispanic publishers. The Executive Director will help shape that future.
This is an opportunity to build an institution that will strengthen Hispanic media, expand access to trusted information, and ensure Spanish-language and Hispanic-owned publishers continue to thrive for generations to come.
