Sports Anchor/Reporter

Summary
We're looking for a dynamic, bilingual Multiplatform Sports Anchor/Reporter to join our national Spanish-language streaming news network. This is not a traditional sports anchor role.

You'll be equally comfortable anchoring a live sports update from the studio, reporting from the sidelines of a major sporting event, producing digital-first content, and breaking down the biggest stories impacting sports fans across the U.S., Latin America, and around the world.

Essential Functions

• Produce, write, and anchor live sports segments for our national streaming news platform.
• Report live from the field during major sporting events, breaking news, and special assignments.
• Develop original sports stories, interviews, and feature content for streaming and digital audiences.
• Create content optimized for social media and emerging digital platforms.
• Monitor breaking sports news, trends, analytics, and audience conversations in real time.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, digital teams, and graphic designers to create visually engaging storytelling.
• Contribute innovative ideas that drive audience engagement across multiple platforms.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sports Anchor or 5 years of experience as a Sports Reporter, preferably with a Spanish-language television network or national news organization.
• Native-level Spanish writing and speaking skills; English proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of professional, collegiate, Olympic, and international sports, along with the news stories shaping the sports world.
• Exceptional live presentation, storytelling, and ad-libbing skills.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Experience producing sports content from concept to air.
• Highly proficient with newsroom technology, streaming workflows, digital publishing platforms, and social media.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Reports directly to VP Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives for Broadcast
