You will collaborate with the National Desk, Strategy Desk, affiliates, and other teams to identify compelling archival moments and package them for all platforms. This is a temporary part-time position. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with in-office presence required. You will report to the Archival Content Manager.

  • Identify, prioritize, and package archival material with timely relevance (anniversaries, trending moments, seasonal programming)
  • Create and edit archival stories across formats (short social clips, longer video packages, articles), including basic video editing and multi-platform formatting
  • Write, edit, and proofread AP-style headlines, captions, and short-form copy tailored to each platform
  • Build and organize archival collections to support editorial initiatives and licensing needs
  • As needed, support broader Hearst Television priorities by assisting cross-team publishing and content initiatives beyond the archives
  • Maintain accuracy, attribution, and ethical journalistic standards
