Job Description

 

Position Summary:

This position plays a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This position supports key elements of MPR|APM’s comprehensive campaign, including individual giving, stewardship, and database management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about nonprofit work, with at least two years of experience in development or donor relations.

* This is a temporary position, 4-months with possible extension if needed.

 

Expected Compensation Range: $24.52 - $29.90 / hourly. Exact rate determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Work Location: Hybrid - St. Paul, MN

Data & Research

  • Work with team members to ensure data cleanliness in SalesForce database
  • Create governance bios, event profiles, and other donor information as requested by fundraisers or senior leaders
  • Complete donor research using tools such as Lexis Nexis

Donor Stewardship

  • Provide support for donor acknowledgement, renewal & tax substantiation processes
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities, including impact reports, donor recognition, and personalized communications
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical fundraising standards

Administrative support

  • Support Advisory Councils by coordinating meetings, written materials, and cultivation activities
  • Provide support to colleagues by scheduling meetings, updating calendars and sending reminders
  • Team support, including booking travel, conference registration, purchase cards and other tasks as assigned
  • Build collaborative relationships on and off our team
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • HS Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience related to administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Significant experience using customer or constituent databases (Salesforce highly preferred), MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Ability to engage tactfully with donors and supporters
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to learn software applications when needed, such as Salesforce NPSP 
  • High attention to detail
  • Success in planning for and completing projects on time
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible & adaptable
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to learning about and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with nonprofit fundraising strongly preferred
