Job Description

Hearst Television in Charlotte, NC is looking for an Unwired Specialist to assist with unwired business. You will work with sales on inputting, maintaining and stewardship of unwired orders. This position will report to the Senior Manager, National Ad Ops. This position is an opportunity within our organization where you will have the opportunity to work with corporate leaders, Sales Managers, Agency clients and others within the organization and externally. You must possess excellent email, verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

· Assist National Sales Managers, across the country, with order processing, verification, maintenance, pre-emption/makegoods, and stewardship of Unwired Orders

· Enter and maintain all orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of WOCentral orders to WideOrbit

· Communicate with our teams (including sales, production, finance) and external clients on performance and delivery of campaigns

· Effectively schedule makegoods in acceptable time periods for any preempted spot

· Develop and maintain a good working relationship with agency personnel (Buyer/Planner/Commercial Operations).

· Effectively communicate with agency personnel via electronic and verbal communications.

· Manage sales database

· Develop an understanding of Nielsen ratings, Wide Orbit, and other research tools

· Support other HTV Charlotte and Station personnel as needed

Requirements

· Must be highly focused, organized, and detail oriented

· Must take pride in work, respond to instructions well, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working independently if necessary

· Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a challenging and dynamic environment

· Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers, and clients to deliver a high level of service

· Capable of learning new software systems promptly and thoroughly

· Proficiency in all programs of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams), as well as video conferencing platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Ring, and Webex

· Working knowledge of WideOrbit, WOC, and WOMS is preferred

· Related military experience will be considered

Training Provided

· Learn industry-leading communication and sales processes

· Learn software skills such as WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, CRM and other sales platforms

· Learn and train with industry leaders
