The Santa Barbara County Education Office is an intermediate agency between the California State Department of Education and the 20 school districts that are located within the county’s boundaries. We facilitate classroom instruction and support to special populations of students, and we offer professional learning and support to teachers and administrators countywide. We provide business and information technology services to 20 school districts, one community college, one Joint Powers Agreement (JPA), and our own internal services department. Our wide range of programs and services support professional learning, leadership, and continuous improvement in our local districts and schools.
