Job Description
The Daily Beast is seeking a full-time reporter to cover stories across beauty, health, wellness and science for our award-winning newsroom on-site in New York. Daily responsibilities will include pitching and writing stories (service, news, features) that inform, entertain, and engage readers.
Ideal candidates will possess a deep curiosity for all things beauty and wellness. You want to learn about any topic related to how people live, look, and feel. You know the difference between hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, understand the importance of peer-reviewed studies and approach everything with a skeptical eye, whether reviewing a scientific study or an influencer’s claim. You should be comfortable interviewing experts, from makeup artists and colorists to dermatologists and chemists. You have an instinct for spotting trends before they go mainstream and can navigate social media to spot stories and identify emerging market shifts.

Pay Range Salary
The pay range for this position is $55,000-$65,000.
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, performance and other factors.
