The Firewall, a new nonprofit news site dedicated to covering efforts to improve American democracy, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated reporter to write about money in politics, redistricting, voting rights, government ethics and other issues challenging functional governments in Washington and across the country. The staff writer’s reporting will help establish The Firewall as the leading source of all coverage of political reform. By reporting on a breadth of issues, the staff writer will develop into an expert on our coverage and become a go-to source for other media outlets seeking expert opinions. By pairing excellent reporting and writing skills with a strong social media presence, the staff writer will help grow The Firewall’s profile and audience.
