Producers in WBUR's podcast unit work on a highly collaborative, fluid team that tackles daily and weekly podcasts as well as limited run event podcasts. This producer role will start work on WBUR's new daily news podcast, working closely with the best reporters in one of the largest public radio newsrooms in the country. You will set the editorial direction of our daily news podcast first and foremost, but you'll also help develop additional series and new podcasts at WBUR more broadly. This role involves reporting, field work, preproduction, scripting, taping, audio editing, and futures planning with daily, weekly and monthly cadence of deadlines. The producer contributes to the shows presence and audience engagement on social, wbur.org and other current and future platforms. This position has the ability to be hybrid.
This position is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA. The minimum annualized salary for this position is $78,413 - https://www.bu.edu/hr/files/2022/01/SAG-AFTRA-rates-7.1.2022.pdf
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required. At least three years of related work experience required.
