Job Description

Foreign Policy is seeking a staff reporter to join its award-winning editorial team. We are looking for someone with meaningful international reporting experience or a strong track record of scoops in Washington, DC. Other reporters on FP’s team cover the State Department and the Pentagon; there is considerable freedom outside these beats to carve out a niche which illuminates how policy is made and practiced by the U.S. government and/or international bodies based here

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• At least five years of experience as a reporter.

• A demonstrated interest in world affairs.

• An ability to connect the dots between major diplomatic events and trends.

• A willingness to collaborate with other reporters. 

Expertise in a particular country or region is a plus, as is proficiency in foreign languages. This position is based in Washington, DC.

Foreign Policy is a global affairs magazine and website.
