The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a DOE research facility dedicated to research surrounding renewable energy technology, energy storage, energy analysis/modeling, transportation and power systems design and integration. We are located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado.
We’re looking for an energetic and collaborative communications professional to join the NREL Corporate Communications Office. The successful candidate will be someone who is interested in being a part of a communications team and is adept at writing, managing projects, learning new tools, and managing internal event planning. This position requires excellent presentation and organizational skills, the ability to learn quickly, contribute positively, and show good judgement in taking initiative. The successful candidate will also have the ability to manage multiple projects/events simultaneously. Experience with content management systems and diversity and inclusion program support are a plus.
Duties will include:
General and web writing support for the corporate communications office, specifically the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office and the NREL Branding Team
Coordinating design, editing, coding, and printing assignments
Learning, updating, and helping maintain a brand CMS
Logistical support and planning for internal events
Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders

Three or more years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, marketing or a related field and 2 or more years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field. Or Master's Degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent relevant education/experience and experience in communications, public affairs, marketing or related field.
