Job Description

TIME is seeking a project manager with at least 2-3 years of project management or related experience to join our team and help TIME deliver innovative, engaging and world-class news experiences on time.com and across all digital products. We are looking for a candidate with experience managing complex projects and workstreams, excellent communication and organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and a deep interest in digital products & technology. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key product & engineering projects end-to-end, from concept to implementation
  • Provide project execution support and manage delivery timelines, ensuring that the team stays focused against priorities and delivers outstanding results
  • Develop multi-workstream project/product roadmaps, and regularly update deliverables for stakeholders
  • Manage sprints & own the scrum process
  • Turn product requirements into detailed JIRA tickets
  • Facilitate meetings, retrospectives and key project check-ins
  • Partner closely with other teams and stakeholders to gather project requirements
  • Help analyze key product & engagement data 
  • Identify opportunities on a continuous basis to improve process and delivery outcomes, including removing blockers and/or identifying more efficient pathways

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 of project management experience
  • Experience working in media or consumer tech is preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with the agile approach to product development is preferred
  • Experience working closely with product managers and engineers is valuable
  • An interest in news products (and the ways in which news consumption is changing) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience liaising with other departments/teams (e.g. marketing, creative, sales) is highly valuable
  • Scrum Master certification (or similar) is highly valuable
